ViSAF(Vidya School Assessment Framework)
The prime objective behind the school Assessment and Grading System formulated by the Integrated Education Council, India (IECI) is to establish competence for delivering quality education. Though there is no dearth of assessment and accreditation frameworks for schools, none of them can be adopted into schools associated with IECI where a unique experiment of holistic education is taking place. There shall be a system-driven approach in all domains of the educational process. All schools shall develop a culture of continual improvement and performance evaluation through this system-driven approach. The National Educational Policy 2020 also mandates instituting a self-regulation or accreditation system at all levels of education including pre-schools. It is under this context that IECI formulated a Vidya School Assessment Framework (ViSAF) which covers all aspects of the educational process. Adequacy, utility, and impact are the three basic tenets on which the assessment will be carried out. All three components of the school, viz the students, the staff, and the management will be evaluated in the assessment process. IECI believes that ViSAF will promote a competitive spirit among the associated schools and be instrumental in the transformation of these schools.
